I am an undergraduate in computer science at Lassonde School of
Engineering at York University and I am expecting to graduate with
Bachelor of Science degree by 2019. I chose to pursue career in
computer science due to my enthusiasm for web and software
development. Prior to joining computer science program at York
University, I spent part of my spare time working on web and
software development projects to learn and apply various web and
software development skills. I have since worked with numerous web
and software development languages including Java, C, PHP,
JavaScript, CFML, Python, Perl and various others. In addition, i
have worked on several projects involving some of the modern web
application framework such as Django, express.js, and various other.
At IBM Canada, i worked as one of two lead developers to develop a
web application used across IBM analytics division using Node.js,
express.js, RESTful API, and various other well-known web
technologies and won two internal awards for the project. In
addition, i worked on developing various automation scripts for
continuous delivery and zero-downtime deployment of application
using Jenkins, Docker and Git Hooks. I also worked on developing web
application using PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery for
internal tracking and ticketing service. Aside from major project, i
contributed to and developed various scripts using Python, Perl,
JavaScript, Batch, and Bash to automate many processes.
Web Developer - Public Services and Procurement Canada
May 2016 - October 2016
At Public Services and Procurement Canada, I worked as web developer
on various projects involving HTML, CSS, CFML, JavaScript, WET 4.0
Framework, IIS Server, and SQL. I worked with various other
developers to update, perform WPSS validation, and publish contents
to web application. By quickly grasping the ins and outs of project
with high importance, I was given a chance to work as assistant
project leader and was also given an opportunity to train group of
employees with Git version control and the ins and outs of the
project. In addition, I worked on various small projects such as,
developing and implementing files explorer with upload, download,
and file deleting capability using ASP.NET on IIS server, and
developing various automation scripts (including, a script to avert
Git conflict, automatic Git deployment script, and various other
automation script to speed and simplify repetitive process).
